Grocery Pannier Bags for Cycling

We have redesigned these panniers, or "panyeers" as we can barely spell it, to make the entire shopping process less arduous. Initially, we used the grocery panniers available on the market, but grew weary of having them knocked off and spilling our groceries all over the road - not a pleasant experience. To address this, we have restructured the way and location of how these panniers are mounted, providing greater clearance for pedaling and adding straps to secure them in place.

Furthermore, we have incorporated a multitude of additional features to ensure these bags are the optimal choice for transporting groceries home by bike. Each bag can accommodate a standard brown paper grocery bag or a reusable shopping bag. Numerous loops have been added, enabling the use of bungees or nets as required. Reflective strips have also been incorporated to enhance safety during nighttime or low-visibility conditions. When not in use, the bags can be easily folded away.

Attaching and removing these bags from the cargo rack has been streamlined, with a simple lock-down strap system and hook-and-loop (Velcro) design, requiring no tools. This secure attachment means the panniers will not be inadvertently knocked off during use.

The redesign has also addressed the clearance issue while pedaling. Bike rear baskets are now positioned further back and higher up, ensuring they do not interfere with one's "big bushwacker feet."

Each basket features four loops, providing ample options for strapping down bulky cargo. This allows for the attachment of a net over a single pannier or the secure strapping of both bike bags when transporting an exceptionally large haul, such as a bulk purchase of toilet paper.

To ensure the durability and load-bearing capacity of these panniers, we have employed heavy-gauge stainless steel mounting hooks and a shatter-proof PVC support frame, resulting in a 40% increase in strength. This enables the safe transport of heavier loads without the risk of sagging.

The design of these bike rear baskets is tailored specifically for grocery shopping, allowing for the easy placement of a standard brown paper grocery bag or most reusable shopping bags. Simply drop your bags in and pedal home, without the need for complex strapping or repacking into saddlebags.
